Here's to You Ms. Neal.

She might not have gotten the part of Mrs. Robinson but Patricia Neal had a quality to her that few other actors had: with her seductive voice, languorous eyes and effortless elegance she could steal a scene from Audrey Hepburn, Gary Cooper and Paul Newman without even trying.
May she rest in peace.

Woah what? I mean Anne Bancroft's performance was on the ages, but how did Patricia Neal miss the cut?

Also, the only two things I remember her for is being the best part of BaT and being on Broadway in Lillian Hellman's Another Part of the Forest. Awesome lady.

She'd had three strokes in 1965 and felt it was way too soon for her to take on such a big role.
She had a very tragic life the poor thing. She was a great lady indeed, I could listen to her voice for decades.

Ditto on the voice - she had such a cool quality about her that's sort of indescribable. Great person to feature so prominently on the blog, Jose.
