Ever since I heard about the casting news of Pattinson in the leading role, I was expecting reviews such as this. What a big ol' piece of cardboard! I'm bummed that Witherspoon couldn't make the most of it though. What are its chances, do you think, for technical Oscar categories come January?
Haha yup, cardboard indeed. Couldn't have said it better. Hmm, I don't see this movie getting any Oscar love, except other than maybe, but just maybe, Rodrigo Pietro's cinematography and perhaps default art direction and costume nods. All seem rather unlikely though as I'm sure that showier movies are in store for us.

Poor, Robert. I have no reason for thinking this but I actually think he could be a good actor - some day.
But, as Luke says, this just seemed like one destined to tank. Honestly, who saw Reese and Robert and thought they'd make a good couple?
Well,i think emotions and fun are interlinked,Chaplin's movie gives us that link
